The Society are pleased to announce that ‘The Stornoway I Knew’ by Chrissie B. Maclean is back in print in a new revised edition for 2019; ten years after its original publication. Chrissie and her husband Kenny were well known figures in the town and her regular contributions to our magazine, reminiscing about the Stornoway of the 1930’s through to the 1950’s, were very popular with readers. Chrissie, who died in 2017, was delighted with the reception the book received and it remains today our best selling title.
