Our January lecture has been delayed until Monday 2nd February 2026. Our guest speaker is Iain Macleod and he will be talking about the restoration of the Lews Castle. The talk will begin at 7pm in the Council Chambers, Sandwick Road. Doors open at 6.30pm. Further details in the attached poster.
Iain Macleod spent his working career in the Economic Development service of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and was closely involved in the restoration of Lews Castle through to final completion in 2017. This illustrated presentation will draw on an extensive archive of photographs, research and shared stories of people associated with the Castle.
