Following the 2024 Stornoway Historical Society AGM it was agreed to increase our membership rates from £15 to £20 for individuals and overseas subscriptions from £20 to £25. The family and corporate rates have now been removed. These new fees take affect from 1st January 2025 although members paying their subs during December 2024 will now have to pay the new rates. Membership of the Society is based on the calendar year.
In addition, the price of SY Gone By, the Society’s bi-annual magazine will increase from £3.50 to £5.00 per copy. This will take affect from the forthcoming winter/spring issue. This is due to increased printing costs, but we feel that a 44 full colour magazine is well worth the price.
