Grant Award for Book

The Society has been awarded a grant of £5000 from the Point and Sandwick Trust towards the publication costs of a new book on the architectural history of Stornoway. This work which has been in preparation for some years, will be available, sometime later this year. Authored by Jessie Murray, Ian Wilson and Cathie Mackay, this book will trace the development of the town from the 18th century to the beginning of the 21st.
